I peruse the internet, pop culture and - occasionally - faxes. All done with the style and grace of a thousand figure skaters.

Gozer the Traveller, he will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldronaii, the Traveller came as a large and moving Torb! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex Supplicants they chose a new form for him… that of a Giant Sloar! many Shubs and Zulls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you.

Easily one of the best of 2013. Dat beat. Dat rapping. Yissss.

Not only is docutube one of my favorite things on the entire internet, this mini-doc is so god damn good that watching this should be mandatory.

What’s Up, Fatlip? (2003) 31min.

A short documentary about ex-The Pharcyde group member Fatlip by Spike Jonze, shot over the course of a few days while Jonze was working on a music video for the rapper. It documents Fatlip’s struggle to get back into the spotlight after the falling out with his former hip-hop group. For all of its charm and warmth, the film is laced with an intense sadness; it is, at its core, about the aftermath of fame - when the idea of re-achieving greatness looms over someone like a curse.
